CONNECTING COMMUNITY AND ETHICS IN ARCHULETA COUNTY

The Independent Ethics Commission opened an Investigation on February 18, 2025 concerning Veronica Medina's behavior and statements about her relationship with EXIT Realty Home and Ranch, LLC., and her attempt to spend taxpayer dollars for a land deal that would have benefited substantially her boss without notifying the public of the relationship, failing to recuse herself from voting affirmatively to benefit her boss, unduly influencing the vote of fellow commissioners and failing to disclose this conflict of interest to the state as required by law.
Both Veronica Medina as well as her employing broker, Shelley Low, have active investigations opened by the DRE concerning their misrepresentation of their relationship and well as failing to disclose their relationship as a conflict of interest in documentation for the attempted sale of X Hwy 160. The complaints reference the Rules Regarding Real Estate Brokers, and the explicit rules of 6.1(c) and 6.1(d) which state an Associate Broker may not represent to the public that they are independent or self-employed, nor can an Employing Broker allow an Associate Broker to represent themselves in such a way to the public. The complaints contain 21 pieces of evidence including video and digital evidence and a signed affidavit to the IEC by Medina stating she is self-employed.
